The Reds have a number of players whose deals are set to come to an end in the summer. It has been a quiet start to the January transfer window for Nottingham Forest, with the extension of Anthony Knockaert’s loan deal and a couple of outgoings their only business so far.
Zach Clough could well be the next one out the door, with Wigan Athletic said to be looking to secure a move for the Reds attacker.
The 25-year-old is out of contract at the City Ground in the summer – along with a few other Forest players.
With that in mind, here’s a look at when deals are set to expire among Hughton’s squad.
Cyrus Christie (on loan from Fulham, with an option to make it permanent)
Luke Freeman (on loan from Sheffield United, with an option to make it permanent)
Cafu (on loan from Olympiacos)
Anthony Knockaert (on loan from Fulham)
Abdoulaye Diallo (has an option to extend by another 12 months)
Tyler Blackett (with the option for another 12 months)
Joao Carvalho (currently on loan at Almeria)
