In a way the team writing the Hawk is a family. However in a more accurate way it is a loose collection of would-be and has-been journalists interested only in their own egos with no consideration for their colleagues or even their own families. Through a muggy haze of whiskey and tobacco they live for the story, and the pathetic view counts it generates. They have nothing else.
Peter Wilson. The hawk’s preferred time for hunting is usually just before nightfall when the daylight begins to lessen. Although the hawk is known for being a violent predator, they are often gentle and quiet. The hawk’s favourite way of transportation is flying. When it flies, the hawk flaps its wings rapidly, and then uses that momentum to glide smoothly and gracefully through the air. Just like Peter.
Michael Burton. Chief Operator of Zeugma and Actimel. Michael finds writing difficult because he does not drink coffee. He has the eyes of potential unacknowledged. His style has been described as “playing jenga with Kafka”. He owns three pairs of shoes.
Daniel Bradley. A student at the university of autodidactia, Daniel spends most of his days slumped over a crisp-strewn desk eating dark chocolate. His bleak and devastating existence is punctuated by short hiccups of genius. he writes for the hawk with the short-lived enthusiasm of a racehorse before death. He is the Hawk’s Officer for Metaphor.
Jake B.T. Waring. Swatting the flies of reason from the mouth of sporting ignorance to form a waffle of romance, Jake is a classically trained actor reduced to the stakes of a bum (journalism – Ed). His favourite Pokemon has been Kadabra since 1998.
Stephen Clare. Hunter S Thompson once said “The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There’s also a negative side” Not liking dogs Stephen left the music industry. He now gets paid to sit on Facebook and Twitter all day as Assistant Vice Chief Executive Editorial Producer-Director of Managerial Communication Solutions (ACEPDMCS) to the Hawk. He is in charge of coming up with role names for the rest of the team to give him a sense of purpose.
Paul Williers. Sometimes stood, often sat, never crouched, wherever news resides Paul can always be found all up in it’s personal space. If he has to choose between the truth and legend, he prints the truth, because he’s a journalist, and that’s his job. Inspired by a love of America and a hatred of Americans. Born1989, died TBC.
